What
I Do for Lilly
I'm responsible for all the financial matters
and business development transactions for
the largest Lilly affiliate, Lilly USA.
I'm also a member of the Lilly USA operations
committee.
Why I Came to Lilly
I joined Lilly to be a part of the pharmaceutical
industry and for the career opportunities.
I've always had a desire to work at Lilly.
I've traveled and worked in high-tech industries
that create interesting products, but there's
no personal attachment like there is with
the pharmaceutical industry, which directly
helps people's lives. That's a good feeling
to take home with you each day. Also, Lilly
is a growing and successful organization,
so from a career perspective I had high
expectations.
What I've Learned
at Lilly
I learned that it not only takes outstanding
talent from our scientific community to
discover drugs, it takes hundreds of millions
of dollars, plus a little luck.
