What
I Do for Lilly
I'm privileged to lead a group of 11 specialists,
who sell both Humatrope® and Forteo®
to endocrinologists. We cover the entire
west coast, which includes everything from
El Paso, TX to Hawaii and up through Alaska.
Everyday, we help to improve the lives of
both children and adults.
What I Like Best
About Working at Lilly
The people I work with—specialists,
patients, customers, and the brand team.
In addition, I like the huge variety of
my job – it is always an adventure.
Career Path
Prior to coming to Lilly, I had marketing
& management experience in both hospital
and association marketing. When I came to
Lilly, I started in sales as a “Humatrooper”.
Then I was promoted into sales management
for the endocrine division. I've enjoyed
both marketing and sales and hope to continue
to be an experienced leader within Lilly
regardless of the role.
What Steps I Took
to Get Where I Am Today
When I started at Lilly, I expressed my
career path and goals early. My previous
professional experience certainly helped
with my career path. Great performance,
leadership projects, hard work, and the
support of great managers and directors
have also led me to where I am today.
Benefits of Working at Lilly that I Didn't
Know Include...
When I had children, the additional childcare
benefits became really important. One of
the many benefits include: when I have a
sales meeting or a requirement to travel
above my normal job assignments, Lilly provides
a specified allowance to provide for those
additional childcare costs.
The Thing(s) that Makes me Get Up in the
Morning
Alongside my usual family responsibilities,
the things that get me going in the morning
is having the ability to coach 11 professionals
and their quest to improve the lives of
the patients we help. I'm constantly motivated
by achieving and exceeding the goals that
are set out for my team and me—both
large and small goals. Also, a little energizing
music and cup of coffee doesn't hurt either.
